Vinyl Plank Floors
Vinyl plank floors are also referred to as luxury vinyl flooring (LVF) or luxury vinyl plank flooring (LVP). Vinyl plank floors aren’t like the thin sheet vinyl staple that is traditional in kitchens and bathrooms. Instead, they are sheet vinyl’s much thicker cousin – about 5 mm thick as compared to 1.5 mm thick for sheet vinyl. Vinyl plank floors are made in long planks with a tongue-and-groove type connection system that clicks together to create a floating floor, although the planks may be glued down if desired.
Luxury vinyl planks have become popular because of their ability to be manufactured to look like natural wood, and now even ceramic and porcelain tiles and natural stone.
